YC burns effigies of BJP govt, police admin

The Youth Congress (YC) members on Friday burnt effigies of BJP government and police administration at Budhapara-based dharna spot for arresting their leaders on Thursday while they were advancing towards Raj Bhavan to submit memorandum to Governor Shekhar Dutt regarding recent police action against Congress leaders.
The YC’s state vice-president Saurabh Mishra said the government itself was refusing to follow the democratic system by not allowing the Congress leaders to express their views and demonstrate peacefully.
“The YC will launch aggressive agitation if the government would continue harassing Congress leaders,” Mishra warned.
On the occasion, Mishra was accompanied by general secretaries of YC Raipur Lok Sabha Pappu Baghel and Amit Sharma, president of YC Raipur North, West and South Vidhan Sabah constituencies Makhan Tamrakar Sushil Agrawal and Indrajeet Singh Rajput respectively, general secretary of YC Raipur Rural Vipin Mishra and others.
