CM, HM giving trite remark on naxal attack: Cong

Ridiculing the remarks of Chief Minister Raman Singh and Home Minister Nankiram Kanwar post naxal attack on PCC chief Nandkumar Patel’s cavalcade in Mainpur, the Congress corporators at RMC on Thursday said both the CM and HM should stop making trite comments after every Maoist attack as even people had comprehended that the duo simply believe in speech, not action.
“About ten years back, the naxals were active in only 3-4 districts in the state but ever since the BJP came in power, the Maoists expanded their domain to 10-12 districts. The government cannot keep its eyes closed from rising naxal problem. It should rather fix responsibility,” said RMC corporators Pramod Dubey, Jagdish Ahuja, Amit Das, Anwar Hussein, Satnam Singh Panag and Samir Akhtar.
“How will the common man of the state feel secure when the government is unable to provide security to the state president of a national political party? In fact, the people are bound to live in fearful atmosphere owing to government’s apathy,” they said.
The corporators further said that the party would launch offensive against the government for staking lives of innocent people in naxal-infested areas.
