Cong to stage massive dharna, court arrest on Apr 30


Vada nibhao to become party campaign and slogan of its mission 2013

Raipur, April 24, 2012

Congress has decided to stage massive dharna and court arrest on the concluding day of its vada nibhao fortnight at Raipur on April 30. The decision was taken by the party leaders during a strategy meeting convened by state Congress chief Nandkumar Patel at Congress Bhawan on Monday.
On abduction of Sukma Collector Alex Paul Menon,  Patel alleged that the government was not serious on naxal issue. “It should have called all-party meeting much before so that every party could have contributed its valuable inputs to deal naxalism,” Patel said. On the occasion, the Congmen also appealed to naxals to release Menon on human grounds. The party also passed a resolution in this connection during the meeting.
Patel said vada nibhao would become a campaign from May 1, 2012 till the party succeeds in dethroning BJP in 2013. “We will also use vada nibhao as a slogan for our mission 2013,” he added.
CLP leader Ravindra Choubey urged the partymen to throw their full might to make successful the concluding public rally at Raipur on April 30.
The meeting was attended by party general secretaries - Arun Vora, Subhash Sharma, Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia, Vidhan Mishra, Devvrat Singh, Ramesh Warlyani, Pradesh Mahila Congress president Ambika Markam, RMC mayor Kiranmayi Nayak, media spokespersons - Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Mahendra Chhabda, Sushil Anand Shukla along with Yogesh Tiwari, Shivnarayan Dwivedi, Madanlal Taleda, Asha Joseph, Bhojkumari Yadu, Motilal Sahu, Baleshwar Sharma, Anita Futan, Afroz Anjum, Sunil Bazari, Nandini Sahu, etc.
