Former chief minister Ajit Jogi has alleged that the tribals and dalits were being harassed under BJP regime. He said custodial deaths, gangrape and human trafficking had become order of the day in the state.
Condemning April 2 incident of village Banshital (Marwahi legislative area) where one tribal youth Sandeep Singh Gond was burnt alive, Jogi said the government had failed to give security to the weaker section of the society. He said he would visit the incidental Place and meet victim family.
He said Gond died on April 15 but despite filing report the police did not register criminal case. “The police inaction indicates government’s negligence,” he added. He demanded from the government to quickly arrest the criminals involved in Gond’s killing.
