Congress legislator Mohammad Akbar has demanded group insurance for teams engaged in gram suraj abhiyan (GSA). He said with no action on complaints and applications submitted during previous GSA, the villagers were severely upset with the government and were either not allowing the GSA teams to enter the villages or taking hostage of them. “This GSA teams are really taking risk by touring rural pockets in the backdrop of government’s inaction and they are entitled to have provision of group insurance,” Akbar ridiculed.
