Vada nibhao fortnight: Cong rally in Chhuriya today


Raipur, April 18, 2012

Congress will hold public rally in Chhuriya during its ongoing vada nibhao campaign on Thursday. The chief PCC spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi informed that the party will organise over 51 public rallies in different parts of the state during vada nibhao fortnight.
“Four teams of 60 Congress leaders will take intense public rallies during the fortnight and remind the government about the promises it made during previous gram suraj abhiyan (GSA),” said Trivedi.
He informed that the Chhuriya public meeting will be led by PCC president Nandkumar Patel. The rally will also be attended by former party president Dhanendra Sahu, legislator Mohammad Akbar and party vice president Pradeep Choubey, he said.
Besides, Rajendra Tiwari, Dhanesh Patila, Yogiraj Singh, Imran Memon, state Youth Congress president Uttam Vasudev, Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi, Jeevan Lal Sahu, Deenanath Sahu, Prem Chandrakar, Yogendra Sharma, Gurmeet Dhanei and Surendra Sharma will also remain present in the Chhuriya rally.
On April 20, the party leaders will organise public rallies in Mohla and Dongargarh.
Trivedi said that the Congress would seek record of grievances redressed by the government against the complaints received in last year’s GSA. “Besides, we will remind the government about the promises it made in 2008 Assembly elections. The BJP had promised in its poll manifesto that it would disburse Rs 270 paddy bonus and free electricity up to 5 HP to farmers on coming to power again,” he said.
