Ramdev pawn in hands of BJP & RSS: Cong

Raipur, April 27, 2012

A day after seeking appointment from swami Ramdev to meet him during his state visit on May 1, the Congress has launched attack on him terming him pawn in the hands of BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsewak sangh (RSS). “By far, the Yoga guru has not uttered anything against corruption and bad governance of BJP-ruled states. This indicates that he is actually being steered by BJP and RSS,” said PCC president Nandkumar Patel and other party leaders jointly on Friday.
Congress has submitted evidences of grafts against Chhattisgarh government to President Pratibha Patil. Even the Comptroller and Auditor General has disclosed scams done under BJP regime. But we are sure that Ramdev would not speak against the BJP government during his Chhattisgarh visit,” said the Conmen.
They said Yoga guru himself poses double standard on the issue of corruption. “His own religious trust Patanjali Yogpeeth and business establishment Divya Pharmacy are in controversy. Even it has not yet been proved whether his assistant Balkrishna is an Indian citizen or not. Balkrishna is also alleged to have acquired lands from farmers forcibly,” they added.
The Congmen said before his state visit Ramdev should clarify his stand on all the charges against him and must come clean out of it.
