The BJP’s legal cell organised symposium on
Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation Bill 2011 on Saturday. The bill is slated
to be tabled in the state Assembly during upcoming monsoon session.
The key speakers in the symposium were Badri Vishal
Agrawal and Ramakant Mishra who said that the law should be made to safeguard
interests of farmers and common people so that the capitalists and corporate
world may not trespass their rights and benefits.
The symposium was also addressed by senior advocates
who shed light on land acquisition and rehabilitation procedures.
The symposium was organised by the cell’s Raipur Urban
unit convenor Jay Prakash Chandravanshi and co-convenors Umashankar Verma and
Priya Agrawal.
The BJP’s state vice president Sachhidanand Upasne and
cell’s state convenor Mohan Pawar were the prominent leaders who attended the
symposium.
The other partymen who participated in the symposium
were Ramnarayan Vyas, Hitendra Tiwari, Amar Gurubakshani, Shekhar Rao Amin, Devesh
Sharma, BP Sahu, Purnima Dubey, Hemlata Singh, Asha Yadav, PK Nishad and Gopa
Kumar.
