The AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi on Tuesday announced names of heads of five District Congress Committees (DCCs) of Chhattisgarh. While senior party leader Satyanarayan Sharma's son Pankaj has been entrusted responsibility of DCC Raipur Rural, Ajay Agrawal has been given the baton of DCC Ambikapur. The presidents of other three DCCs are - Balodabazar - Janak Ram Verma, Gariyaband - Omkar Shah and Balrampur - Maheshwar Paikra.
The PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey discussed about the pending list of DCC heads with senior leaders including state unit incharge BK Hariprasada, AICC treasurer Motilal Vora and Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Unit Charandas Mahant at New Delhi on Tuesday. The DCCs where the heads have not yet been announced are Raipur Urban, and Mahasamund. While DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal is reported to be repeated, the senior leaders have not yet reached to consensus over any name for the president of DCC Mahasamund.
