Sale-purchase of lands to be simplified

Collector assures Congmen

Dist admin to start single-window system in ten days

Raipur, April 07, 2012

The intricate sale-purchase of lands will soon be simplified and district administration will start single-window system for convenience of sellers and buyers. The assurance was given by Collector Dr Rohit Yadav to a delegation of Congress leaders who informed him that corruption prevailed from patwari to tehsildar to registrar regarding complicated sale-purchase of lands.
The delegation of Congmen led by DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal informed the Collector that the sell or buyer either has to wait for 15-30 days to obtain form 14 from patwari or gets it in 24 hours against bribe of Rs 10000.
Similarly for name change, the buyer or seller has to visit a couple of times to Tehsildar office and cough up specific sum to get the work done, Dhariwal said.
“The Collector admitted about corruption in land sale-purchase procedures and has assured us to make it transparent by starting single-window system making the entire process online,” informed Dhariwal.
“The Collector said that the buyer or seller will get form 14 in seven days through single-window system on producing all the requisite documents. Similarly, after registry, the buyer would only have to submit application to the Tehsil office and need not visit there frequently. In seven days, his name would be mentioned,” he added.
“Besides, the Collector would himself monitor the entire procedure through his computer,” he said.
