Sharply reacting on High Court stay on Chhattisgarh government’s reservation proposal, the Congress said the ruling party had already predicted occurrence of such circumstance. “The HC stay has once again exposed BJP’s anti-tribal face,” said PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey on Saturday.
The said the government did not really wanted to give 32% reservation to the tribals. “While the government curtailed SC quota to 12% and announced 14% for backward class besides 32% for ST, it was well aware that total quota should not exceed 50%. Still, it tried to deceive tribals,” the duo said.
