The Youth Congress (YC) has demanded shifting of Pandri-based liquor shop to elsewhere. The YC members led by their Raipur Rural general secretary Vipin Mishra also staged dharna before the liquor shop wearing Gandhi caps on Saturday.
“The liquor shop is located in the crowded place and is surrounded by bus stand, school, temple, shopping complex, hospital etc. The traffic movement in the locality also remains heavy round the clock. With drunkards and anti-socials thronging the liquor shop, the area has not become crime-prone but also accident-prone,” said Mishra.
He informed that the YC would continue its protest against the liquor shops in phased manner till the district administration shifts it elsewhere.
The YC members who accompanied Mishra were – Raja Farishta, Sunny Saloman, Ankit Ahuja, Shashwat Mishra, Prafulla Poundwal, Rajesh Yadav, Raju Yadu, etc.
