Cong to blacken faces of officials on power tariff hike

Raipur, April 19, 2012

Congress has decided to blacken faces of officials who proposed hike in power tariff. “Chhattisgarh has always been a power surplus state. But after division of CSEB into five power companies, the expenses increased. These companies say that they are running at loss while the MD of the holding company rubbishes off the loss report,” said DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal. “If the power companies are not at loss then there is no need to increase power tariff. But if the government will still take anti-people decision then we will blacken the faces of officials who proposed hike in power tariff,” he said.
