Congress has strengthened as a responsible opposition
in past one year and it happened because of guidance of the party’s national
leadership and workers’ collective job. PCC president Nandkumar Patel expressed
these words during a welcome programme organised by the partymen at Congress
Bhawan on the occasion of completion of his one year at office on Monday.
He said the Congress had always
dreamt of developing Chhattisgarh but the current BJJP government was
exploiting its natural resources. “The people of the state expect that we will
rid them from this corrupt government,” he added.
CLP leader Ravindra Choubey
said that Patel had filled enthusiasm in the workers in all corners of the state
for mission 2013 by rooting out the BJP government. He said the party also had
massive public support this time.
The programme was also
addressed by former PCC working president Satyanarayan Sharma, party vice
president TS Singhdeo, general secretary Ramesh Warlyani, RMC Mayor Kiranmayi
Nayak, DCC Raipur Rural president Pankaj Sharma, state Sewa Dal’s chief organiser
Ashok Raj Ahuja, Chhaya Verma, Sunita Verma, etc.
Earlier, Pankaj Sharma and his
supporters burst crackers and distribute sweets to welcome Patel at Congress
Bhawan.
The welcome programme was also
attended by party vice president Baijnath Chandrakar, DCC Raipur Urban
president Inderchand Dhariwal, treasurer Ramgopal Agrawal, MLA Dr Shakrajeet
Nayak, party’s spokespersons - Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Mahendra Chhabda and
