Opposition stirs House on Simga roadblock

Raipur, December 21, 2011

The opposition stirred Vidhan Sabha on Simga roadblock caused by the locals on Wednesday. The issue was raised by leader of opposition Ravindra Choubey during Zero Hour. He alleged that the government’s indifference led to the conditions like roadblock in Simga.
Choubey informed the House that the people of Simga blocked Raipur-Bilaspur road (NH-200) with their demand to include their region in Raipur district instead of newly formed Balodabazar district.
“The public movement was supported by the religious gurus of Kabir panth based at Damakheda – Prakashmuni Naam Sahab and Bhanupratap Naam Sahab. Still the government had assured to solve the issue in a day or two but it has not taken any initiative by far,” Choubey said.
He warned the government to avoid confrontations with the religious gurus of Kabir panth and urged to held talks with them on Simga.
