Raipur, December 01
Lashing out at BJP workers for using muscle power to
impose bandh across the length and breadth of the state, the Congress on
Thursday said that the ruling party’s criminal face revealed during the bandh
call.
“The BJP workers turned into vandals to make the bandh
successful while the police remained as a silent spectator,” alleged former PCC
president Dhanendra Sahu and Congress spokespersons Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Mahendra
Chhabda, Amir Ali Farishta and Sushil Anand Shukla on Thursday.
The BJP workers not only targeted schools, but also
bus and auto passengers along with poor street vendors. “The BJP workers did
not eve spare women. They barged in the office of Central School based at
Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar sector 4 and misbehaved with the principal for not
keeping the school closed voluntarily despite bandh call. This exposes BJP’s
autocratic and anti-women face,” they said.
The Congmen demanded criminal case against the BJP
workers who were found engaged in destroying public properties, loot and
hooliganism during bandh. “The evidence could easily be obtained in the form of
videos and still photographs taken on Thursday,” they said.
