The Congress
spokesperson Amir Ali Farishta on Wednesday said the opposition was ready with
its weapons to attack the ruling party at Vidhan Sabha by moving no confidence
motion. “The CM with his corrupt team has become bête noire for the public as
well as his own partymen. Exploitation, corruption and naxalism ramified during
his regime while the touts flourished,” Farishta charged.
He said the government
hospitals have lost their credibility in wake of Balod eye camp incident. “Now,
the people are scared of undergoing treatment in government-sponsored eye
camps,” he added.
Rubbishing government
claims of having most effective public distribution system (PDS) in the
country, Farishta said, “The state’s PDS has completely collapsed due to
corruption prevailed in it from top to bottom. According to survey conducted by
India Corruption Study 2010, highest corrupt PDS in the country is in Chhattisgarh.
Another survey agency ICS says that corruption increased by 58 percent in state
PDS in 2010-11,” said.
Citing example of Amrit
salt being distributed to poor under PDS, Farishta said the packets contain
100-150 grams less salt, an apparent irregularity which bleed huge amount of
fund. “The government is also responsible for large number of graft cases in
Central schemes,” he said.
“Even the people have
lost trust on Public Service Commission (PSC) in wake of PMT paper leak case,”
he said adding that there was no government in the state and the BJP had failed
in all departments to perform.
