Raipur, December 15, 2011

The Akhil Bartiya Dak Karmachari Sangh (ABDKS) Group-C staged day-long dharna before head post office in favour of their demands on Thursday.
The divisional secretary of ABDKS Ashutosh Kumar Singh, sub-divisional secretary of Postmen Union Group-D  Dinesh Patel and divisional secretary of Gramen Dak Sewak Sangh Siyaram Sinha jointly informed that the all the postal staff unions would jointly stage indefinite dharna from January 17, 2012. In this connection, these staff unions of the postal department have given information to the top officials of Dak Bhawan New Delhi.
“Our unions will also start serial hunger strike before Dak Bhawan New Delhi from December 26,” the trio said.
“We are compelled to go on strike as none of our demands have been fulfilled in spite of written assurance given by the senior postal officials. We had taken back our previous strike on July 5, 2011 after the postal department assured us to meet our demands in one month,” they said.
They further alleged that the Centre had hired American consultancy agency Mckinsey to affect the system of postal department. They doubted that a huge scam peer to 2G spectrum allocation could be unearthed on transparent probe into the hiring of Mckinsey.
The Thursday dharna was participated by Rohan Tandon, Kamal Narayan Verma, VD Ghormare, BV Yadav, Mahesh Bramhvanshi, Ajay Lahri, Suresh Kumar Sharma, Raju Gajendra, Surendra Baghmare, DL Prithvikar, Sanjay Rajput, etc.
