The state Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has summoned some of the government’s top bureaucrats in its Wednesday meeting. These bureaucrats, who hold key post secretary or principal secretary, have not attended many of the PAC meetings. By far, PAC has conducted 15 meetings. The PAC, chaired by Congress legislator Ajit Jogi, hints that these babus also refuse to follow committee instructions regarding audit objections and recommendations. The PAC meeting would be convened at 12 noon on Wednesday while the committee would submit its report in the Assembly’s budget session.
