Devendra Yadav has been elected as new state president of NSUI. The national leadership of NSUI announced the results of organisational elections at New Delhi on December 14 night. Notably, Yadav was organisation's choice and is supporter of senior Congress leader Vidya Charan Shukla. He received 1141 votes while another contender for the president post Subodh Haritwal from Jogi camp got 1052 votes. Haritwal has been elected as state vice president of the NSUI. The other newly elected office-bearers are seven general secretaries - Basant Pratap Singh, Aftab Farishta, Vaibhav Shukla, Mohit Shrivastava, Bhagendra Manhar, Heena Lahre, Asmita Chelak and four national delegates - Tikesh Pratap Singh, Nikhil Dwivedi, Veerendra Kumar, Maheshwari Kumar.
