The members of Youth
Congress (YC) and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) observed 127th
foundation day of Congress by organising various programmes on Wednesday.
The YC members took out
torch rally from Congress Bhawan to Kalibadi chowk. The rally was led by YC’s
Raipur North general secretary Dilip Singh Chouhan. On the occasion, the YC
members pledged to always follow policies and principles of Congress and serve
the common people. The rally was participated by Sheikh Shakeel, Shirish
Awasthi, Bakar Abbas, Vishnu Sharma, Ashish Dwivedi, Rehan Khan, etc.
Another group of YC
members led by their Raipur South general secretary Sandeep Tiwari donated
blood to mark the foundation day of Congress. Tiwari was accompanied by Ashish Verma, Rakesh
Sharma, Amit Shamra, Akash Sharma, Azhar Rahman, Wasim Qasif, etc.
The NSUI organised a symposium
on ‘contribution of Congress in freedom and building of India’ at Congress
Bhawan.
The key speakers in the
programme were PCC’s chief spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, DCC Raipur City
president Inderchand Dhariwal, Iqbal Ahmed Rizvi, Hasan Khan, Paapu Banjare,
Shiv Narayan Dwivedi and Pramod Dubey.
In his address, the
NSUI’s Raipur district president Pradeep Sahu informed that his organisation
would soon start a helpline number for students to quickly solve their problems.
The programme was attended by NSUI’s Raipur district vice presidents Bhavesh
Shukla and Akash Sharma, general secretaries Sumit Sao and Manish Sharma along
with Ravi Sen, Tarun Soni, Dinesh Mishra, etc.
