CM’s birthday: NSUI extends ‘black greeting’

Raipur, October 15, 2012

The NSUI members extended ‘black greeting’ to Chief Minister Raman Singh on his 60th birthday by cutting cake of coal at Congress Bhawan on Monday.
“The CM is tainted in coal blocks allocation issue and hence we thought to congratulate him in this unique manner,” said the NSUI Raipur vice presidents Bhavesh Shukla and Akash Sharma.

“The CM has kept the students deprived of their right to vote by not allowing conduction of students’ union polls for last nine years. Tribal students are not getting scholarships. The government has even commercialised education in the state and is benefiting private schools and colleges by infringing all the educational norms,” they said.

“The CM is also responsible for rising naxalism, increase in power tariff, paddy purchase scam and poor road infrastructure across the state. Surprisingly, in the backdrop of corruption and no law and order in the state the CM is celebrating his birthday. He should rather tender his resignation on moral grounds for making the state a corruption hum,” they added.

At Congress Bhawan, they were accompanied by NSUI members Arif Ansari, Abhay Thakur, Ashish Dwivedi, Amit Sharma, Karan Sharma, Vishnu Sharma, Chandan Barik, Manish Dwivedi, Akash Upadhyay, Pratyush Tiwari, etc.
