Congress is preparing up for its October 31 dharna against government in all 199 blocks. In this connection, DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal convened a meeting of office-bearers and BCC presidents at Congress Bhawan on Saturday.
Dhariwal asked the BCC president to muster massive crowd during dharna programme that will be staged from 11 am to 2 pm in every block followed by submission of memorandum to local government authorities.
“We will raise all the burning issues including hiked power tariff, black marketing of fertilisers, handing over of Bhatgaon-II and Bhatgaon-II extension coal blocks to Sancheti brothers for commercial mining and exploration, pending payment of Rs 270 paddy bonus to the farmers, etc during dharna,” informed DCC Raipur Urban member Kalpana Patel.
Dhariwal further discussed over Congress membership campaign and urged the office-bearers to increase party domain by adding new faces.
