Congress on Saturday said the inauguration of Rajyotsav 2012 through BJP president Nitin Gadkari would be an insult to people of Chhattisgarh as he was tainted in coalgate as well as land acquisition case.
“Gadkari’s alleged role in obtaining coal blocks for Sancheti brothers in Chhattisgarh and in forcible acquisition of 100 acre land from farmers in Maharashtra proves that he is not the apt person to inaugurate the state establishment festival,” said Congress spokesperson Mahendra Chhabda.
