Talks to Vora, Patel, Choubey regarding state Cong turmoil

AICC general secretary and state Congress incharge BK Hariprasada has made it evident that there is no place of indiscipline in the party – let the wrongdoer by former chief minister Ajit Jogi or anybody else. Hariprasada, who interacted with PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey on Friday at New Delhi, maintained that the high command would not tolerate the senior leaders going astray.
Notably, Patel is in the national capital for the past two days. He met party supremo Sonia Gandhi on October 4 and briefed her about PCC’s activities against the state government as well as about Ajit Jogi and his son Amit’s campaigns without organisation’s permission. He explained that the senior leaders including Union Minister of State Charandas Mahant, Choubey and others had objection over parallel programmes of the Jogis.
According to information, Gandhi had asked her political secretary Ahmed Patel to sort out the matter by convening meeting of senior PCC leaders on Friday. However, Patel could not do so because of his pre-scheduled meetings in connection to Gujarat assembly polls. He is now likely to speak to them on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Hariprasada called Choubey to New Delhi on Friday morning. The objective was to primarily discuss about all the factors before putting them before Ahmed Patel. Mahant too was supposed to attend this meeting but he could not because of his Maharashtra tour. He is reported to attend the Saturday meeting.
Hariprasada and Nandkumar Patel also held separate talks with AICC treasurer with Motilal Vora. Sources informed that this time the top brasses of the state unit want the high command to pose stern face towards ‘disturbing elements’.
The Jogis on the other hand are watching the developments at New Delhi, although the young Jogi has postponed his tour programme to Saja – the assembly constituency of the CLP leader.
