Chief
Minister Raman Singh has appealed to the people to make sanitation part of
their life to build healthy and nirmal Chhattisgarh. His appeal came during his
address at Nirmal Gram Puraskar function at Raipur on Saturday.
Notably, 124 gram panchayats of Chhattisgarh have been
selected for Nirmal Gram Rashtriya Puraskar 2011 under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan
operated by state’s PHE department.
Congratulating the sarpanchs of the selected gram panchayats
the CM emphasised on active participation of schools and Aanganbadi centres in
sanitation campaign pointing that sanitation is being taught to everybody from
childhood onwards.
He felt that the state needed to do much more in sanitation
field despite progressing in every sector and winning accolades at national
level in various schemes.
On the occasion were present PWD Minister Brijmohan Agrawal,
PHE Minister Kedar Kashyap, Parliamentary Secretary Mahesh Gagda, Raipur Zila
Panchayat president Laxmi Baghel, Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar, etc.
