The YC members on Monday gheraoed Chief Medical Officer (CMO) KR Sonwani and demanded to take effective measures to check rise in dengue in the capital city. In this connection, the YC members also submitted a memorandum to Sonwani.
“Dengue has spread rapidly in the state. About 250 persons were found suffering from dengue after their samples were tested positive. A couple have even died due to this disease, however the health department has not taken any proactive measure to curb it,” said the YC’s Raipur North general secretary Dilip Singh Chouhan.
He warned the CMO of locking the health department offices and gheraoing Health minister Amar Agrawal if preventive measures for dengue would not be taken in next couple of days.
On the occasion, Chouhan was accompanied by Mohammad Azhar, Bablu Raza, Sheikh Shakeel, Preetam, Imran, Bhima, Ashish, Wasim Quasif, Rafeeque Goutiya, Chandrashekhar Tandon, etc.
