YC demands unconditional release of Hussein

Raipur, October 08, 2012

The Youth Congress (YC) has demanded unconditional release of Anwar Hussein who was arrested by the police when he interrupted Chief Minister Raman Singh’s speech during inaugural session of National Agriculture Science Fair at Indira Gandhi Agriculture University on October 7, 2012.

In this regard, the YC state vice president Deepak Mishra and other members submitted a memorandum Collector Siddharth Komal Pardeshi and SSP Dipanshu Kaabra on Monday.

“Hussein used his Right to Expression when he asked a couple of questions to the CM during the latter’s speech. For this, he was thrashed and sent to jail, a clear indicator of government’s repressive action,” Mishra said.

On the occasion, Mishra was accompanied by BCC Gudhiyari president Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari, Amit Sharma, Bhavesh Shukla, Sanjay Soni, Amitesh Bhardwaj, Ashish Dwivedi, Manoj Gupta, Abhay Thakur, etc.
