Raipur, October 17, 2012
The NSUI members on Wednesday conducted silent protest at office of Directorate Technical Education against selection of candidates for interviews for vacant posts in government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
“The candidates were not selected on merit basis. In fact, the merit list issued by Directorate of Employment and Training (DET), which organised exams for the posts of trainee officers, was erroneous as names of a couple of candidates were repeated. Therefore, many eligible candidates were not called for interviews,” said the NSUI’s former state general secretary Amit Sharma.
On October 16, Sharma and other NSUI members had demonstrated at Government Engineering College (GEC) Sejbahar where DET was conducting interviews.
On Wednesday’s protest movement, Sharma was accompanied by Aziz Bhinsara, Purushottam Dewangan, NSUI Raipur district vice presidents Bhavesh Shukla and Akash Sharma, Ashish Dwivedi, etc.
