Congress has demanded stern action against Dr Rajendra Banthiya and his team for allegedly deceiving patients and recovering illegal fees through smart cards.
“The government should instantly register criminal case against Banthiya and his team besides recommending the MCI for cancellation of his registration number. It must also derecognise Banthiya’s nursing home and ensure that the illegally recovered funds from the patients are returned,” said state president of Congress medical cell Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi on Saturday.
In this connection, Dwivedi and other members of the organisation will submit a memorandum to Collector Siddharth Komal Pardeshi and IG Raipur range Mukesh Gupta on October 8.
“We will urge the Collector and IG to take action against Banthiya and his team so that no such cases occur in future,” Dwivedi said.
“We will persistently raise this issue till the guilty doctor is punished. If action against him will be delayed, we will launch aggressive agitation in favour of the patients who were betrayed by Banthiya,” Dwivedi cautioned.
