The BJP on Saturday said the state Congress incharge BK Hariprasada had insulted senior leaders of his party by qualifying their role as advisors.
“Hariprasada has lost control over his tongue. The language he is using is an indicator of his mental bankruptcy. Certainly, his party is shocked and embarrassed by his remark,” said the BJP general secretary Shivratan Sharma.
“Hariprasada’s statement will negatively impact the confidence of Congress workers. The Congress was preparing to fight next Assembly and general elections under his leadership, but his ‘party-destructive-remarks’ have put it in the back foot. Even the senior Congress leaders are confused about their roles during polls,” Sharma said.
He advised the Congress leaders to first save their party from being further polarised in wake of Hariprasada’s statement instead of trying to sully the image of Chief Minister Raman Singh.
“The people are well conversant with the double standards being adopted by the Congress. Ironically, the days of this party-led UPA government are numbered at Centre, still its leaders like Hariprasada are using uncontrolled language against fellow members,” Sharma said.
