Cong for FIR against guilty people in smart card scam

Raipur, October 08, 2012

Congress has demanded stern action against people involved in smart card scam. In this connection, former president of Congress Jhuggi Jhopdi cell Sheikh Shakeel and other party workers submitted a memorandum to Collector Siddharth Komal Pardeshi on Monday.

“Several private nursing homes are deceiving poor by charging inordinate fees without providing treatment. These nursing homes get the fees from the smart cards issued to the poor under Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna (RSBY). The cult is also prevalent in the rural pockets. We have urged the Collector to take lodge FIR against all such people who are misusing smart card funds and deceiving the poor,” said Shakeel.

“The Collector has assured us that he would soon conduct meeting in this regard,” he added.

The Congmen further requested the Collector to take necessary steps to check diffusion of swine flu. “By far six swine flu cases have surfaced. Two affected ones are doctors at Ambedkar hospital. We fear that people would panic if immediate proactive measure is not taken to prevent it,” he said.

On the occasion, Shakeel was accompanied by Virendra Dewangan, Sewak Mahanand, Ayub Bhai, Haji Rajjab Ali, Mumtaz Hussein, Ashok Chilamwar, Deepak Kanchandeep, Damrudhar, Prem Sagar, etc.
