Cong SC cell meeting held

The first meeting of Congress SC cell held at Congress Bhawan on October 26. The state president of the cell Ramlal Bhardwaj exhorted the office-bearers to consolidate Congress to dethrone ruling BJP in next assembly elections.

The cell criticised the government for reducing the SC reservation quota and decided to demonstrate against it in Bilaspur and Raipur on November 27 and December 16 respectively.

The cell further decided to take out Satnam sandesh yatra to mark birth anniversary of Guru Ghasidas from December 18-31. “The objective of the yatra will be to propagate message of humanity given by Guru Ghasidas,” said Bhardwaj.

The cell also passed a resolution to pay tribute to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on the occasion of his birth anniversary by organising representatives meet in every district on April 14.

Bhardwaj urged the office-bearers to expedite Congress membership campaign in their respective areas.
