Demanding stern action against guilty cops for beating YC Lok Sabha general secretary Anwar Hussein in custody, the YC members burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Raman Singh at dharna spot on Monday.
“Hussein’s eardrum has been damaged. He has got injury in his backbone too. This is barbaric. We strongly condemn this repressive action and demand from the government to incur his entire treatment cost,” said the Raipur North general secretary Dilip Singh Chouhan.
He informed that a delegation of YC members will also meet Governor Shekhar Dutt and demand action against guilty cops.
He warned the CM of initiating series of demonstrations against the government if he would not tighten noose on the police.
At dharna spot, Chouhan was accompanied by Sheikh Shakeel, Mohammad Azhar, Azhar Rahman, Rafeeque Goutiya Bablu Raza, Wasim Quasif, Chandrashekhar Tandon, etc.
