AIIMS declares 2nd round faculty interview result

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur has announced results of second round of faculty interviews in which 25 candidates have been selected for seven different departments. 

According to information, Dr Nighat Hussein, Dr Ishani Mohapatra and Dr Amit Bugalia have been selected for pathology and lab medicine department.

In forensic medical and toxicology department, Dr Krishnadutt Chavali and Dr Shreemanta Kumar Dash have been selected.

The department of microbiology will have Dr Shampa Anupurba, Dr Anudita Bhargava, Dr Padma Das, Dr Sanjay Singh Negi and Dr Ujjwal Nitin Gaikwad. 

The department of nursing will have Dr Binu Mathew and Dr Jeaya Rekha. The ENT (otorhinolaryngology) department will have Dr Rupa Mehta and Dr Ripu Daman Arora.
The pharmacology department will have Dr Surya Prakash Dhaneria, Dr Nitin Rewaram Gaikwad and Dr Sudhir Chandra Sarangi. 

Similarly, the radio-diagnosis department will have Dr Narendra K Bhodhey, Dr Neeraj Kaur and Dr Chandra Dev Sahu.


Purchase committee formed

The union ministry for health and family welfare has also formed a six-member committee for procurement of common and specialised equipment. 

The committee will be chaired by secretary union health and family welfare ministry. 

The other members of the panel will be – director AIIMS New Delhi, director Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh, director AIIMS Raipur, director AIIMS Bbhubaneswar and joint secretary union ministry for health and family welfare. 

The job of the committee will be to revise and decide the requirements and to devise specifications for common and specialised equipment such as modular operation theatres (OTs), intelligent OTs, medical gas pipeline system, kitchen and laundry equipment, etc.

The panel will not only have to ensure timely procurement of the items through open tendering system, but also check the quality of the procured items.

The panel will further be responsible to supervise supply, installation, testing, commissioning, etc of the equipment.

To procure quality equipment, the committee will be authorised to take assistance of expert individuals or organisations.
