Congress on Monday claimed that toll plaza site at Ring Road No 1 near Sundar Nagar was actually selected by state government and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had nothing to do with it. “The NHAI has sent me a letter that clarifies that the state government has selected the toll plaza site,” said the PCC business cell president Kanhaiyya Agrawal.
Agrawal and other members of PCC business cell distributed the copies of the NHAI’s letter to public at Sadar Bazar and Azad Chowk.
Agrawal informed that he had recently sought detailed information regarding toll plaza site from NHAI under Right to Information Act (RTI).
In its reply to Agrawal’s application, the NHAI wrote him a letter on January 31, 2013 that said the toll plaza site near Sundar Nagar on Raipur-Arang fourlane was selected by the state government and the authority office did not have any document pertaining to it.
