Senior Congress legislator Ajit Jogi has said that the BJP government was ignoring tribals of Bastar and Sarguja. “The announcement of development works in Bastar and Sarguja never came to practical reality in last nine years. The tribals are still lacking basic facilities like water, road, electricity, house, education and health,” Jogi said.
He pointed that the government had failed to check migration, deal naxalism and provide security to the tribals.
On Shikshakarmis who died during their recent strike, Jogi said the government should give job to at least one member of their families on compassionate ground.
