Kamal Vihar project picked for HUDCO design award


Raipur, February 16, 2013

The Government of India’s public sector undertaking Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has selected Kamal Vihar project (KVP) for HUDCO design award. This award will be given by union housing and urban poverty alleviation minister Ajay Makan at New Delhi on Febraury 22.

Principal secretary housing an environment department N Baijendra Kumar informed that KVP – the largest residential project of Raipur city had been selected for second prize under HUDCO’s new and innovative town designing solutions/eco-cities category.

Kumar said the KVP was an ambitious project of Raipur Development Authority (RDA) and it won prestigious HUDCO award due to teamwork. He said former RDA CEOs Amit Kataria and Ashok Agrawal and current CEO Alex Paul Menon worked dedicatedly for the success of KVP.

The RDA chairman Sunil Soni said the KVP got new identity by acquiring national-level award. He congratulated the RDA office-bearers and staffers for the KVP’s success.

Hailing the decision to give HUDCO award to KVP, chief minister Raman Singh has congratulated housing and environment minister Rajesh Munat, RDA chairman Sunil Soni, vice chairpersons Ratan Daga and Prafulla Vishwakarma and staffers of housing and environment department.
