CJM demands compensation for S’karmis


Raipur, January 30, 2013

Hailing government’s decision to reinstate Shikshakarmis who were terminated during their 38-day strike, Chhattisgarh Janjagran Manch (CJM) on Wednesday demanded Rs ten lakh compensation for contract teachers who died during strike and compassionate appointment to one of their respective family members. 

The CJM further demanded construction of a memorial for the deceased Shikshakarmis. 

In addition, the CJM state president Suraj Yadav said extra classes should be arranged for the students as their studies got affected due to prolonged strike of Shikshakarmis. 

In this connection, he said, the CJM would soon submit memorandums to relevant officials in coming days.
