The YC has demanded action against BJP workers for violating collector’s
orders and burning effigies in different parts of the city on January 22. In
this connection, the YC members led by their state vice president Deepak Mishra
submitted a memorandum to collector Siddharth Komal Pardeshi on Wednesday.
“The district administration has fixed dharna spot
near sports complex for burning effigies. Whenever the members of Congress or
its frontal organisations burn effigies in any other place than dharna spot,
the district administration immediately files criminal case against them in the
local police stations. However, the administration did not show similar
promptness when the BJPians burnt effigies of Central government at different
road intersections of the city,” Mishra said.
Alleging that the district administration was adopting
double standard towards Congress and its frontal organisations, Mishra asked
Pardeshi to quickly register case against BJP workers who violated orders.
On the occasion, Mishra was accompanied by Amit
Sharma, Akhilesh Joshi, Bhavesh Shukla, Akash Sharma, Anis Nizami, Abhay
Thakur, Ashish Dwivedi, Hamzuddin, Wasimuddin, Chandan Barik, Dilip Singh,
Shishir Roy, Lokesh Sharma, etc.
