Former leader of opposition in state assembly and senior Congress leader Mahendra Karma on Thursday said chief minister Raman Singh had insulted people of Chhattisgarh by terming them alcoholics.
“The CM’s remark is inapt. He says that people will waste money on liquor if cash subsidy scheme (CSS) will be implemented in state. This is ridiculous. The Centre’s CSS will rather benefit the poor,” Karma said.
“If the BJP government will stall implementation of CSS, the Congress will do it,” he said.
