Cong forms panel for awareness rally against BJP government

The PCC president Nandkumar Patel has formed a special committee to make the party’s awareness rally against the BJP government successful. The party will organise the awareness rally at divisional level in Ambikapur and Bilaspur on May 25 and 26 and would raise the issues like lawlessness, rising corruption and government’s anti-people policies.
Patel says that the party wants to expose the BJP government in all fronts and therefore it has decided to constitute a committee.  According to information, the committee comprises of senior leaders including Ambikapur legislator TS Singhdeo and Bilaspur District Congress Committee president Baijnath Chandrakar.
Patel has asked Singhdeo to ensure large number of party workers and people from Ambikapur, Koria and Jashpur districts arrive in the awareness rally at Ambikapur on May 25. He has given similar assignment to Chandrakar and has asked him to bring crowd from Janjgir-Champa, Korba and Raigarh at awareness rally in Bilaspur on May 26.
Patel has also instructed the office-bearers of district and block committees of Sarguja and Bilaspur divisions to coordinate with their incharges Singhdeo and Chandrakar respectively to make the awareness rally successful.
He has apparently indicated that the activities of the office-bearers would be monitored during the awareness rally and they would either be retained or replaced by others in the organisation on the basis of their performance. Patel is likely to restructure the organisation after awareness rally.
The party’s media incharge Mahendra Chhabra informed that state Congress general secretary incharge BK Hariprasada, AICC treasurer Motilal Vora, Rajya Sabha member Mohsina Kidwai and state Congress secretary incharge V Hanumantha Rao had confirmed to participate in the awareness rally.
Besides, the PCC president Nandkumar Patel, Congress Legislators’ Party (CLP) Ravindra Choubey, Korba Parliamentarian Dr Charandas Mahant, Vidya Charan Shukla, and former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi will also address the awareness rally.
