PMC urges President to take cognisance of state’s condition



Raipur, June 24, 2011

The Pradesh Mahila Congress (PMC) has urged President Pratibha Patil to take cognisance of anarchy prevailed in the state. The PMC working president Kalpana Patel on Friday wrote a letter to Patil highlighting a couple of major points including – rising naxalism in the peaceful state, lawlessness, people feeling sense of insecurity, increasing cases of women exploitation, PMT paper leak episode, exploitation of students living in Kasturba girls residential hostel, Public Service Commission’s (PSC) credibility on stake, etc. Patel further demanded from the President that Women’s Reservation Bill should be passed in the Parliament.
