Severely irked by delay in various projects of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC), the Urban Administration Secretary RP Mandal on Tuesday asked the officials to ensure timely completion of the all the ongoing works. He further asked the officials quickly complete the projects which are related to public facility and would be an additional income source for the municipal. He said the progress of all the projects should be reviewed fortnightly. Mandal’s directives came while he was chairing the meeting of RMC officials at Netaji Subhash Stadium from on Tuesday.
On proposed choupati behind Dani School, Mandal asked why the project could not be completed even when it was approved three years back, there was no crisis of funds and sufficient space was available. Similarly, he expressed his annoyance over foot overbridge project which is pending since 2009. He asked the project incharge Rajesh Sharma to achieve the task in next couple of months.
He further sought explanation from project executive engineer for 100 city buses Bhagirath Verma regarding delay in operation of the proposed buses.
