The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has alleged that the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (PSC) had been in controversy ever since it came into existence and failed in conducting exams successfully. “Since the PSC has proved that it is incapable of handling the examinations, the state government should dissolve it with immediate effect and merge it with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC),” said the NSUI activists who took out a shavyatra of the PSC from Congress Bhawan to dharna spot near Sports Complex Budhapara on Thursday in their protest against the Commission’s functioning.
“The government should take criminal action against those officials who are responsible anarchy prevailed in PSC,” said NSUI state general secretary Subodh Haritwal who led the organisation’s members to protest against the Commission. He said the PSC had always staked the future of the students and the NSUI severely condemns the Commission’s authorities for their mismanagement.
“We will continue agitating till the government comes out with some positive solution regarding PSC by considering the future of the students,” he said.
The NSUI activists who accompanied Haritwal in taking of shavyatra of the PSC were – Gulzeb Ahmed, Shahbaz Hussein, Ajay Pal, Nadeem Salat, Shashikant Barode, Adhitya Agrawal, Danish Rahman, Chinu Pandey, Mohammad Sabir and others.
