The state government has no intention to rehabilitate the displaced people from Moti Nagar and the sympathy of Chief Minister Raman Singh towards the affected people is merely to deceive them. The allegation against the government and the CM was leveled by the chief organiser of PCC Sewa Dal Ashok Raj Ahuja on Thursday.
He said the action against the people of Moti Nagar was sheer violation of Supreme Court orders. “If the government and the local administration knew that the Moti Nagar residents were encroaches then why their names have been included in voter list? Besides, these affected people are ration cardholders and the power company had provided them legal electricity connection. In this scenario, how could these displaced people be termed as encroachers?” asked Ahuja.
