Notably, the Congress president Sonia Gandhi had recently announced three committees for the state Congress, i.e. co-ordination committee, disciplinary committee and the monitoring committee. The committees have been formed to oversee the flagship programmes of the UPA government in Chhattisgarh.
The coordination committee comprises of eleven members besides chairman Hariprasada. This is the first time in the history of state Congress that the national leadership had constituted coordination committee for its smooth functioning and operation. The key responsibility of the committee will be to frame strategy for the state unit’s activities and programmes.
According to information, Hariprasada has asked all the committee members to prepare their individual report on state unit so that work-plan regarding party’s future activities could be chalked out by minimising problems.
Sources informed that the high command was also concerned about the party’s falling graph in the state and hence Hariprasada had been instructed to ensure committee assigns jobs to all the senior leaders to increase Congress domain both in urban as well as rural areas.
