Alleging that the government has failed to curb naxalism and maintain law and order in the state, the Youth Congress started its bike rally from the city at 3 pm on Saturday. This rally will conclude on Sunday at Amabeda under Gariyaband development block (Raipur district) where Maoists had recently killed nine police personnel. The rally comprising about 100 bikes was flagged off by Amit Jogi.
The bike rally is being led by the president of YC Lok Sabha Raipur Vinod Tiwari who said that his organisation would continue protesting against the government’s policies owing to which innocent citizens and security personnel were becoming victims of the naxals.
The bike rally reached Gariyaband on Saturday evening where the YC workers paid tribute to the nine cops. On Sunday, the rally will reach the incidental area – Amabeda where the YC workers will burn the effigy of the CM.
