The government allocated Rs 327.30 crore to nine districts of the state under Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). The fund has been provided by the Centre. The nine districts that received fund are – Raipur – Rs 35.33 crore, Bilaspur – Rs 54.42 crore, Jashpur – Rs 15.99 crore, Durg – Rs 59.55 crore, North Bastar (Kanker) – Rs 17.10 crore, Sarguja – Rs 36.64 crore, Rajnandgaon – Rs 93.49 crore, Janjgir-Champa – Rs 14.72 crore and Narayanpur – Rs 5.29 lakh.
