The government has allocated 1655 quintal rice for old-age people and destitute of the state under its Annapurna Yojna for July 2011. The rice will be sent to all the districts under public distribution system (PDS) and will be provided to the beneficiaries from more than 10500 fair price shops across the state, informed the officials of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department on Tuesday.
The officials informed that the Raipur district will receive 179 quintal rice, Dhamtari – 52 quintal, Mahasamund – 95 quintal, Bilaspur 160 quintal, Janjgir-Champa – 84 quintal, Korba – 47 quintal, Durg – 224 quintal, Rajnandgaon – 76 quintal, Kawardha – 27 quintal, Jashpur – 42 quintal, Sarguja – 217 quintal, Koria – 55 quintal, Jagdalpur – 77 quintal, Kanker – 32 quintal, Dantewada – 55 quintal and Bijapur – 90 quintal, Narayanpur – 29 quintal.
